LGED will be professionally trained to perform the following interrelated and complementary responsibilities as an efficient and effective public sector organization:

Communication with local government bodies, participation of local people and taking into consideration environmental and social issues at the local level, building, maintaining and managing commercial and micro-water resources.

Provide technical and institutional support to strengthen local government institutions and provide services to local communities and other stakeholders.
